The Heart of Baltimore: Jimmy's Famous Seafood Restaurant

A Review for Our Fellow Foodie Lovers!

We recently heard great things about Jimmy’s Famous Seafood Restaurant, in Dundalk, Baltimore and had to check it out. Venturing into this renowned establishment is not merely a dining experience; it's an immersion into the heart and soul of Maryland's seafood culture. Nothing screams Baltimore more than the aroma of freshly steamed crabs!

As we entered Jimmy’s, we were greeted with warmth and excitement. This place was way bigger than we had imagined with many rooms and bars, keeping the staff on their toes at all times. There were families gathered around laughing and enjoying their meals. There was also a great nightlife presence, seeming fun and exciting on different night out with the girls. The staff made us feel welcomed and after glancing at the menu, we knew that we were at the right place. The menu was large, offering a diverse variety of options, great for picky eaters, but also for food critics. It was not just seafood. Instead, the menu ranged from pasta and pizza all the way to sushi and of course the “famous” seafood.

To start it off, we decided on sharing some appetizers. We ordered crab dip, buffalo wings, ribs, and crab bites. Each plate showed the restaurant’s dedication to freshness and quality, while paying attention to detail. All of the appetizers were amazing and savory, but the crab dip was our favorite with flavorful bread on the side. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect, leaving us just enough room for our main course.

For our main course, we had to try their multiple-award winning masterpieces and the local favorite, famous Maryland-style crabcakes. Let me tell you…it did not disappoint. The big lumps of crab mixed with the flavor and breadcrumbs was the perfect combination and texture, satisfying all of our taste buds. We would definitely recommend everyone try this delicious meal.

The tremendous staff provided great service and were very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and the food menu, giving us recommendations and accommodating any special requests. They made our experience exceptional and worked together like a family. They also recommended that we come back for some of their events like their themed bottomless brunches and trivias and their Ravens and Orioles events to get the full Baltimore experience.

Our dining experience at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood Restaurant was one for th books and we will definitely be back again. The quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the fantastic service did not go unoticed. For anyone seeking an authentic taste of Maryland’s seafood legacy, we highly recommend visiting Jimmy’s Seafood.
